Morris Law Partners is not your average law firm. Everything about MLP, from its mission to its founder, represents a unique approach to life, business, and the law. When the folks at MLP came to Braizen looking for a brand to match this one-of-a-kind approach, we were excited by the challenge and the opportunity to work with some truly wonderful individuals. The firm’s founder, Thornton W. Morris, started the firm in 1966 and made a name for himself almost immediately, working with families on Cumberland Island, GA to draw up the legislation that would preserve the island as a national seashore – legislation later signed into law by President Richard Nixon. That work would become the catalyst that drove Thornton’s development of Morris Law Partners. For inspiration, we looked to these experiences as well as Thornton’s surprisingly well-designed offices (no, really … they’re gorgeous). Tooled leather, dark woods, and a pleasing color palette were the perfect fit with Thornton’s own aesthetic. Cumberland Island itself also became a great inspiration – its wild horses and the colors of its seashore. To communicate the firm’s mission of serving as a guide that helps families manage their assets and businesses get set-up effectively, we incorporated the weathervane design – Thornton and the firm provide wise direction and we wanted to be sure and demonstrate this through design. And this is just the beginning! We look forward to unveiling our future projects with MLP in the months to come!
