Jumpin’ Jackie!

As a family photographer in sunny, SoCal, it’s only natural that Jackie Culmer finds a great deal of inspiration at the beach. Right at the beginning, she knew the look she was looking for – something bright, fun, a bit nostalgic, and very much about life on the salty sands of Orange County. As fans of the beach, we had no problem spending our time daydreaming about all of the things we loved about the beach – Jackie was even nice enough to provide us with some of her own photography to really get our creative engines humming. A lot of the design work you see here is inspired by Jackie’s own work and inspiration, especially the fun illustrations Walter developed. Everything from the color palette to script-logo originated from what we can only describe as a collective and figurative day at the beach. But the best part of this whole project – from brand development to her customized P4 – was working with Jackie herself and getting this lovely endorsement from our new SoCal sister!

I can’t speak highly enough of Ashley, Walt, and the whole team at Braizen. From my initial inquiry to finalizing my custom blogsite, they have been professional, timely, inspiring, and always delivered more than I expected. I had been stalking them since the thought of opening a photography business crossed my mind and they were Luxecetera. I’m such a visual person and it really meant a lot to me to have the right branding to stand out in such a saturated market. After one year of wasting time tweaking and re-tweaking my website, marketing materials, etc. I got tired of being so inefficient and just saved my money to hire Braizen. Their designs speak for themselves. I went with their “just a pinch” service to refine the concepts I already had in my head, and they ran with it and totally blew my mind. After creating the look and feel, I went forward with a promo card and a custom designed prophoto blogsite installation. Best money I ever spent. To feel creatively fulfilled and I didn’t even have to do frustrating work figuring out wordpress (I was previously on blogger) was freeing. On top of that, Ashley and Walt did unexpected things like turn my watermarks into painbrush files in photoshop-made patterns ready to load, and even an action to size pictures for my blog and put two vertical pictures side by side! Now, I probably could have figured all that out…but would I have done it? Probably not…I hadn’t for the past year! The time they are saving me giving me all these tools is priceless. I can’t thank them enough and will be back for more!
